The Socotab Group is committed to working in
a socially responsible manner and is very conscious
of the significance of its business activities in the local community. The Board of Directors of Socotab Frana SA in 2001 adopted a resolution to formalise the company’s social responsibility, both in the company’s way of working and within the local society. In support of this declaration, each subsidiary company also has a similar Board resolution. Additionally all companies undertake to operate in compliance with the Group’s business ethics policy.

The Socotab companies continue to support school development work in the Republic of Macedonia and
in 2009, with matching funds from a partner organization, projects were sponsored in five schools. In two locations, the work included fencing, paving and generally renovating the schoolyards. Installation of new windows and doors was carried out in a third school and, in the fourth school, geo-mechanical
and hydro-geological surveys of the weakening foundations were were accomplished, in order
to establish the correct remedial work. For the fifth school, with which Socotab had worked in the past two years, a variety of classroom equipment
was supplied.
